Sean Rice was born in London and studied at the Royal Academy Schools of Art.
He later moved to Liverpool and built his own foundry.
Many of his best sculptures were in welded bronze and steel.
Alwin Sculpture Gallery [London] sold his work very successfully, mainly to US clients and their influence lead to his sculpture becoming less challenging and glitzier in later years.
