F E McWilliam was born in County Down and is Northern Ireland's greatest sculptor.
He studied at the Slade School of Art.
One-man exhibitions were held at the Waddington Galleries and the Tate Gallery.
Public collections include the Tate Gallery and the Museum of Modern Art [New York].
Books have been written by Mel Gooding and a catalogue raisonne by Feren and Holman.
I was lucky to acquire my 2 favourite sculptures by him, Pastoral Head and Crankshaft Figure 1.
