Germaine Richier was born in France and studied at the Montpelier School of Art and under Bourdelle.
She is my favourite female artist and one of the greatest sculptors of all time.
A major retrospective exhibition was held in Paris at the Pompidou Centre in 2023,
There are several books on her work and a catalogue raisonne of the earlier sculpture was published in 2023.
Public collections include the Tate Gallery and Museum of Modern Art [New York].
