Michael Sandle described it on 7 July 2008 as:
'I believe it to be by far the most accomplished watercolour that
I have ever done'.
Michael Sandle was born in Weymouth and studied at the Slade School of Art.
A major one-man retrospective exhibition was held at the Whitechapel Gallery, London in 1988.
The Tate Gallery collection includes his work and many public sculptures exist.
